Energy Efficiency Project

wavey-coloured.png

Our Energy Efficiency Project means cosier homes with lower heating costs and smaller carbon footprints. It has the potential to unlock up to £400,000 of further funding, all of which will be spent on helping Bude residents to heat their homes more efficiently.

Depending on individual circumstances, we can help residents access home improvement grants and other funding that will save them money by reducing their energy use and yet making their homes warmer. This free service can also be accessed by local businesses and we have taken on a  full-time Low Carbon Energy Officer to help us with this project, working through our delivery partner Community Energy Plus.

Get in touch with Jon if you're a resident or local business and would like to find out more about how you can become more energy efficient.

The research phase of the project included a Bude Area Carbon Audit, resulting in a Climate Action Plan. This report highlights positive actions to reduce our carbon footprint and make Bude more resilient to climate-change challenges. You can read the reports below. Further audits will take place annually to track change.
