Project Coordinator (Sustainable Tourism)

Please submit applications by midnight Thursday, 7 September 2023

Who we are looking for

Bude Climate Partnership is seeking to employ a full-time Project Coordinator to help us deliver an innovative sustainable tourism project in the wider Bude area.

This £29k to £33k role with 3% pension contribution and 25 days leave (+ bank holidays) is open to flexible working arrangements.

Working as part of our National Lottery-funded Resilient Bude project, the role’s primary purpose is to bring together Bude’s tourism businesses, community and visitors to develop resilience against climate change.

This exciting opportunity to work on this trailblazing project needs someone who is friendly, flexible, collaborative, passionate about helping their community and committed to making a lasting contribution to positive climate action.

As well as relevant qualifications – or equivalent professional experience – you’ll need to be adaptable, innovative, strategic and empathetic with excellent interpersonal skills for engaging local businesses and everyone you meet and support.

Collaborating with Bude Area Tourist Board, and drawing on support from Exeter University and other BCP staff, you will deliver our sustainable tourism strategy to all our local businesses, residents and visitors so that it can act as an agenda-setting exemplar to other coastal communities.

This is a full-time role, mainly based in our office in Bude but open to flexible working arrangements, whether flexitime, hybrid working when required, or some other agreed arrangement.
