VACANCIES

Low-Carbon Energy Adviser

What we are looking for

Community Energy Plus and Bude Climate Partnership are seeking to employ a full-time Low-Carbon Energy Adviser to help us deliver an Energy Efficient Homes programme in the wider Bude area.

Working as part of our National Lottery-funded Resilient Bude project delivery team and supported by Community Energy Plus’s team members, the primary purpose of the role is to assist residents of the Bude Community Network Area to improve the energy efficiency of their properties. The work involves providing advice and support to individual households about low carbon technologies that reduce emissions and address fuel poverty within the Bude area and in the wider area of northeast Cornwall.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, collaborative, passionate about helping their community, and committed to making a lasting contribution to addressing climate change. They’ll have an approachable outlook, good communication skills and the ability to learn new skills. Training will be provided to ensure the post holder has knowledge about energy management in a domestic setting.

Ideally, this is a full-time hybrid role, working flexibly from home and/or our offices in Bude, and across the Bude Community Network Area, with regular visits to CEP’s Truro office. We are open to flexible and part-time working arrangements with the right individual, but a minimum of 28 hours a week is required.
