Sustainable Tourism Assistants
What we are looking for
Bude Climate Partnership is seeking to employ two part-time or one full-time Sustainable Tourism Assistants to help us deliver an innovative and ground-breaking project in the wider Bude area.
This £28,000 FTE role with 3% pension contribution and 25 days leave (+ bank holidays) is open to flexible working arrangements.
Working as part of our National Lottery-funded Resilient Bude project, the roles’ primary purpose is to bring together Bude’s tourism businesses, community and visitors to develop resilience against climate change.
This exciting opportunity to work on this trailblazing project needs someone who is inventive, flexible, collaborative, passionate about helping their community, and committed to making a lasting contribution to climate action.
As well as relevant qualifications, or equivalent professional experience, you’ll need to be adaptable, innovative and strategic with excellent interpersonal skills for generally lighting a fire in the bellies of all you meet and support.
Collaborating with Bude Area Tourist Board, and drawing on support from our other staff, you will be working on nature and climate positive initiatives to help us deliver our sustainable tourism strategy to all our local businesses, residents and visitors, so that it can act as an agenda-setting exemplar to other coastal communities.
Whether a part-time or full-time role, this is open to flexible working arrangements, whether flexitime or splitting the working week between home and our offices in Bude, or some other agreed arrangement.
