Full-time Project Coordinator and a part-time Project Assistant
Bude Climate Partnership is seeking to employ a full-time Project Coordinator and a part-time Project Assistant to deliver our 18-month climate-change project funded by the National Lottery Climate Action Fund.
This £200,000 development project by a partnership of seven of Bude’s environmentally focused, community-based organisations will investigate all aspects of our local climate crisis, focusing particularly on tourism, specific demographics, travel and our local waterways. On the strength of our research findings, it will employ innovative techniques to assist all parts of our community in learning more about climate change and taking action.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for delivering the research investigations, engagement initiatives, feasibility studies and a community conference that will explore and address the impacts of climate change in Bude and its surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of how global climate issues impact on a peripheral, coastal community. They will have extensive experience of delivering multifaceted projects to tight deadlines and budgets. They will need exemplary communication skills to liaise with local residents, stakeholders, academic institutions, service providers, community groups and representatives.
The Project Assistant will assist the Project Co-ordinator for two days a week with administrative tasks. To comply with the Lottery’s requirements, both positions must start in January, preferably on January 4.
